How do I become an appointed broker with Delta Dental of Idaho?

To become an appointed Delta Dental of Idaho producer, please Contact our sales department at (208) 489-3583 or email us at sales@deltadentalid.com. You will need a copy of your State of Idaho producer license and Tax ID number to our office. For more information, go to the Working With Us page in the Producer section of our website.

What is the commission level and when is it paid?

Payment of commission depends upon the number of employees in the group. Delta Dental will pay commission monthly if:

  • Producer is continuously and properly licensed in the state of Idaho
  • Producer is appointed by Delta Dental to represent products
  • Producer is recognized by the covered group as the agent/broker to receive commissions
  • Delta Dental and the group maintain a continuous contractual relationship

How long does it take to receive a quote from Delta Dental?

If you are an appointed Delta Dental of Idaho producer, you can easily quote a group online. Just click on Get A Quote after logging into the secure Producer Log-In section. If you don’t already have a User Name and Password to use the Producer Log-In section of our site, please Contact our Sales department to get registered.

If you would like someone on our Sales team to generate a quote for your client, please Contact them at (208) 489-3583 or email: sales@deltadentalid.com. For companies with fewer than 99 employers, quotes are issued within two business days. We will put together a customized proposal for any of your clients with more than 100 employees. The quotes are generally issued within five business days.

How do I enroll a new group?

If you generated a quote on-line, you may also complete the group application process and group enrollment entirely on-line by clicking on Saved Quotes after logging into the secure Producer Log-In section.

To manually enroll a new group, submit the following to Delta Dental of Idaho by the 15th of the month for coverage to begin the same month (for example, to begin coverage effective in January, the items must be received by January 15th).

  • Group Application
  • Employee Enrollment Form
  • Check for one month’s premium
  • Current medical group billing statement (for Groups with 3-9 employees)

Who do I contact at Delta Dental if I have questions?

Once appointed as a Delta Dental of Idaho producer, we will assign a sales representative to work directly with you. This representative will act as your primary contact and liason for all Delta Dental questions. Click Contact Us to find out more our dedicated sales staff and how to contact our sales department.

How do I order supplies, such as Forms and Brochures?

Does Delta Dental offer individual plans?

No. Delta Dental offers only employer-sponsored plans to businesses headquartered in Idaho and that have 3 or more employees.

Does a group need to be headquartered in Idaho to receive a quote from Delta Dental of Idaho?

Yes. According to our agreement with Dental Dental Plans Association, a group must be based in Idaho. We are happy to help you identify other Delta Dental member locations for a group based outside this state.
