Tooth Decay Education Campaign Runs
Throughout Idaho July 7, 2007 Delta Dental of Idaho is
committed to educating the public about better dental health. You may have
recently seen billboards and bus benches with the headlines, “Seal the
Deal On Fewer Cavities, Ask Your Dentist About Sealants” and “Demonstrate,
Encourage, Educate, Cavities Can Be Prevented.” These prevention
messages are part of Delta Dental of Idaho’s new educational campaign that
began running throughout areas of the state in May 2007. The goal of Delta Dental’s
new campaign is to educate Idahoans about the importance of good oral health
and to motivate individuals to take preventive measures through a combination
of self-care and professional care for themselves and their families.
The campaign, to be conducted over the next three years, kicked off with a
message about childhood and adolescent tooth decay and will include other
important preventive topics dealing with the relationship between oral and
systemic health. The campaign is part of
Delta Dental’s Community Outreach program. Their outreach efforts
include multiple programs that focus on education and preventive treatment
for all Idahoans, with and without dental coverage, and were established as
part of Delta Dental of Idaho’s commitment to promote better oral health.
